Nivada Grenchen Chronoking Mecaquartz Black

The 1970s have never been more fashionable, with their vibrant colours, unique materials, and distinctive designs. Vintage chronographs are capitalizing on this trend, experiencing a surge in popularity that delights collectors and anyone nostalgic for the disco-boogie and shag carpet era.

In this revival, Nivada Grenchen has unveiled a new edition of its renowned Chronomaster, drawing inspiration from a vintage Chronoking dial reminiscent of the dynamic spirit of the seventies. Originally featuring sub-dials in the style of "Paul Newman," it adorned a tonneau case housing a Valjoux 72 movement. Behind this iconic dial lies the name of Jean Singer, a prominent Swiss dial maker based in La Chaux-de-Fonds, renowned for crafting some of the most sought-after exotic dials in the history of watchmaking. Designs such as the bold Speedmaster Racing, the energetic Heuer Skipper, or the intensely blue Nina from Universal, all bear the signature of Jean Singer, the master artisan.

This 38mm stainless steel pvd version features the Seiko VK63A "Mecaquartz" movement. Which give the wearer a smooth sweeping operation with the reliability and accuraccy of a quartz watch.
